Position: Marketing Intern or Brand Ambassador (These are paid positions)
Description: OrderUp Marketing Interns and Brand Ambassadors are passionate about OrderUp and want to share that passion with friends, family, fellow students and complete strangers. Their main goals are to increase brand awareness locally, introduce others to the OrderUp’s unique food-ordering platform, and spread an overall brand love through events, guerilla marketing, and other creative avenues. This position will combine Sales and Customer Relationship Management, Marketing Program Oversight and Execution.
Location: Marketing Interns + Brand Ambassadors will report directly to OrderUp’s State College office
Reports To: Community Marketing Manager (State College)
Schedule: Part-Time [15-20 hours per week; includes some nights and weekends]
Training: Marketing Interns and Brand Ambassadors will be supervised and mentored directly by OrderUp’s Community Marketing Manager. All interns will undergo an immense 1on1 on-boarding process throughout the first several weeks of joining OrderUp; during which they will be mentored in all software programs, best practices, and company standards. Marketing Interns will work hand-in-hand with department leadership throughout their experience to integrate them in planning processes, strategy brainstorming seminars, and developing a great understanding for strategic marketing and brand development.
Work on local partnerships with events, businesses, and brands
Be able to think outside-the-box and brainstorm locally relevant marketing initiatives; including all aspect of pre-production, event execution, and post-event follow-up
Execute guerilla marketing techniques to increase visibility and traffic
Experiment and come up with new and alternative ways to leverage local events and guerrilla marketing opportunities
Leverage local network and knowledge to enhance marketing tactics
100% comfortable putting yourself out there and talking to customers
Work from OrderUp office in State College, PA as well as attend events
Commitment to working two full semesters (options to extend this internship to future semesters will be based on performance)
Literate in Microsoft Office, various social media platforms
High-energy and outgoing personality
Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree
Extremely networked within the student body
Social media & tech savvy to promote brands/events
Able to drive to events with reliable transportation

Have a valid driver’s license (that tells us you’re 18+!) and a clean driving record

This is an independent contractor position
You will need a working phone (preferably iPhone or Android) that can download our custom driver app.
Driving availability during lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Part-time, full-time, and any combination thereof - your schedule is up to you!
